hi i have a lavanderish coloured sultan chicken arround 24 weeks old and im not sure if she is a hen or a cock she isnt mounting or crowing, no hackle or saddle feathers but her face is quite red between the feathers. Do some sultan hens go red in the face? she is obviously a cross with something to be lavander. I am comparing her to my white sultan hen who is a year old but still pink in the face. What do you think?

Yep I agree with everyone. Mine is the same and has just started to lay. Well practicing more like it. 2 fart eggs so far, but here is hoping for a good one tomorrow

She has filled out more since she started laying. Full like yours.

It's definitely female. Hens have round 'hairdos', roosters have punky spiky crests.

I would say a hen also. You can look for stringy type feathers at the back of the head at the bottom. She is a mix. and does not appear to have the Falcon feathers on her legs above the feet. Very pretty color.

I am trying to find a pullet for my Sultan Rooster. I would to breed some pure Sultans.
