Sultans!

Beautiful photos. You have some gorgeous birds! I looked at all the pictures on your website. I will have to get some newer pictures this weekend to share.

My silly sultan chicks would NOT try the yogurt! I thought after getting a few of them to try it by putting it on their beaks and seeing them lick, they would eat it, but nope, 2 hours later, still not eaten. In another brooder, my leghorn and crevecoeur chicks were treated the same way, and they demolished their yogurt! I gave them the second batch from the Sultan brooder and they chomped that down in a hurry too! Silly Sultans, don't know what they're missing!

Wow, she's amazing! Where did she come from, may I ask? I would love to see lots more pictures of her

I got her from the local county fair. The breeder had a blue roo, but he got killed by a coyote, so he sold his 2 girls. White is the only recognized color, but there are black, and now blue. I am told if you breed a black roo to a white hen, 1 in 10 will be blue.I would love a black roo, but I am hesitant to breed any because I d not know enough about breeding. I will see if I can post some more pice in the next week or so.

I have some black sultans, living in Norway. They are not as thoroughly bred as the whites, but with a few more years of breeding they will hopefully come along nice. Here is a picture of a young hen hatched this april:
