Thanks ladies!!!! It's not really intricate. It uses the popcorn stitch for the center, but the 12" do take me longer to finish as does trying out any new pattern. Hopefully they will go more quickly as I go. We shall see.

LOL! Yes they are definitely still at that generic rodent looking stage. Can't wait til they open their eyes and start looking like puppies vs newborns.Canesisters-Someone else posted a picture of a throw from the last swap. It would Have been on that thread, which should still exist somewhere. It was beautiful.
Kassaundra-Great square. I've never seen anything like it.
Sunny-The puppies look like ink blots. I look forward to seeing them as they turn into little dogs.
I love the firmer yarn for edging. It's why I incorporated the Red Heart super saver and the Vanna's Choice yarns. I don't even really have to block with those heavier yarns for edging. However I love the feel of the softer yarns, so I'm enjoying using both this time around.I've been having a little bit of an issue incorperating the cafe latte thread, it is so much firmer (harder) then all the other colors, but I found a place it works well, the rectangles I've been making I have been puting the outer edges in the green thread, but it is working so much better in the firmer cafe latte.
Haha! I have been using quite a bit as well but hoping it will hold out to the end.
Wow! Look at all the color changes! I LOVE it!!!
I just tied a piece of ribbon to each of mine with my name scribbled on the ribbon then placed them in a zip lock baggie. I then wrote my name on the baggie. I did make the mistake of putting more than one in each bag the last couple of times, not realizing that Kim or Betty might need to separate them. Sorry. Not that I am any where near this point, but I was wondering how do you guys package and send the squares?
Yes, many methods have been used. Once I printed off tags that had my BYC avatar pic on it w/ my name and my user name and tied them to the corner of each square and then placed each square in a sandwich baggie.I just tied a piece of ribbon to each of mine with my name scribbled on the ribbon then placed them in a zip lock baggie. I'll let the others tell you what they did. There were many methods used.
I guess I'll need gallon bags for the 12"ers. Good thing the generic brands are cheap.
I don't see why the 12 x 12 couldn't be folded.I wrote my name on a piece of cardstock, punched a hole in the cardstock, threaded some yarn through the hole and tied it to the square.
If I can use the bags I have instead of getting new gallon-sized ones, I'd like to do that. It's just a little less plastic. If I have to buy new gallon-sized ones, I will.
I think I have gallon on hand. I usually have have a variety of sizes and I try to recycle them if possible. I guess either way it's going to take up space. If you fold them they will be fat. LOL!!! When I threw the folding suggestion out there I forgot about the people who may block their squares. Does anyone have any objections to folding the 12" squares?I don't see why the 12 x 12 couldn't be folded.
Of course they can be folded. I was thinking of the couple of 12" squares I have with very large flowers on them. The flowers alone would fill a sandwich baggie. lol (And I wonder why I'm going through so much yarn).Yes, many methods have been used. I'm wondering if you can fold the 12" some way to fit in smaller bags?
Use what you have on hand already. I was speaking about my own huge squares only.I wrote my name on a piece of cardstock, punched a hole in the cardstock, threaded some yarn through the hole and tied it to the square.
