I can't wait to see the blocks. I bet they're all pretty. My grandson is here on leave from Afghanistan. I fixed a big dinner with ham, potatoes and two salads and made a German Chocolate cake for dessert. He didn't get back for his other grandma's funeral which was a shame but he managed to get his flight changed to come down this way instead of up in WA. He'll be here two weeks. I started another afghan that has snowflakes on it and the background is a varigeatd blue. It was for me but just found out one of my granddaughters is getting married Dec.22 to a young man from iceland so guess this will be their wedding present. I'll make another later for me. The pattern would be neat done in red and white or green and white for a Christmas theme. Will take photo when I get more done.

Cool! I thought about doing a couple of snowflakes for an applique on the 12" squares but decided against it. Crocheted snowflakes are a new interest for me this year. :)
Can't wait to see pics. I didn't get my pics done today. My normal lens is scratched so I'm trying to use the zoom and it's hard to get far enough away from the squares to fit them in. Hubby said he'd set up a ladder for me tomorrow to try again. Must be great having your Grandson home for a bit!

Finally got the rest of my NFL squares completed and put together.... I am working on a border but thought I would share.

I also joined a Christmas Ornament SWAP and found some beautiful patterns and made these:

The centers were still wet when I took the photos but they have gold glitter in the middle. I will be making a few more sets of these. I really like how they came out.

Kathy~ Your NFL blanket looks amazing!!!! You really got the rest of it together so quickly and had enough time to make those beautiful Christmas ornaments!!! Love them!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

What lovely Christmas ornaments. I love that NFL afghan also. The snowflakes in the afghan are crocheted into the block (hexagon) and there are filler motifs in smaller circles of white with the blue around them. They make up fairly fast but they're more solid than lacy. It should be very warm.

Fried chicken tonight with biscuits and gravy, left over salds and maybe a butternut squash and watermelon from the garden.

You got it :). Plus the weather outside is condusive to staying inside, so why not turn boring string into amazing things? If it was snow, I would be out skiing. As it stands, I am thinking my poor chickens might need some webbed feet. The horses look like drowned rats.
