Summer reading ideas or maybe a BYC book club.

Oh, and if I didn't say, The Death of Santini is really good as well if you have read Conroy's other books. It gives a lot of background and an update on how his father mellowed and their relationship changed in his old age.

The Four Winds was excellent. I especially liked the author's note at the end and the discussion between audio book publisher's rep, author, and narrator at the end. It was interesting to hear how the great depression and dust bowl resonated with them in light of the pandemic, climate change, and migrant issues.

Wow, a heavy book after another serious one. It was the next one available from my holds list. I may need to find something frivolous and come back to it.
I hear ya.
Spent the winter reading all of Dana Stabenow's Kate Shugak series in between heavier stories.

The Other Black Girl just became available from my holds list. I'm going to jump into that one. The Wife Upstairs was pretty good, but not exceptional. Some good plot twists however.
