I just read The Book of Two Ways! I also love everything Conroy, Picoult is always great, and John Irving is a little dark, but very entertaining. Oh, and Larry McMurtry. Lonesome Dove is one of the best of all times! I think Pat Conroy wrote something in 2013 or 2014 that I missed. It is on my list, but I can't remember what it was. Maybe a Great Santini follow up.....

I read all of John Irving years ago.....don't think I could get thru those door stops again tho. maybe Garp because its shorter.

My fav book of all time is Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver,
I reread it at least once a year.
Another multiple reread is Decider by Dick Francis

Yeah, Garp was my favorite of Irving's. Prodigal Summer is good too. Haven't read Decider. My list is growing.....

@aart and others, Mexican Gothic was very good. Recommend that one! I'm going to wait on The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and read that on paper. I think it takes more concentration.

Scattered chaos spiraling back mostly into a circle in the end.

If I Had Your Face was ok, but the ending was kind of bleh. The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett was one I really enjoyed last summer.

Just read Sooley by John Grisham.
I liked it, he always writes a good story, but if you hate basketball you might not like it
