I'm in the Hutch/McPherson area.

.20" in the guage this morning........we just can't buy a good rain here. It'll wait till wheat harvest gets here and then start and not stop and it'll ruin what little wheat we've got left!

Sorry to hear about the rain, we are getting hit with rain again today. I am praying that you get some out of these storms coming.

Good News, My broody has one chick hatched one pipping and 2 more peeping I am not sure about the other eggs will have to check later. My 2nd broody decided to sit again I hope she stays this time I put 5 eggs under her 3 of my bantam EE eggs and 2 brown eggs. I am hoping to see what my EE hens and Cochin bantam rooster make.

Same here... Rain again! I really need it to stop so I can put these tractors and brooder rack together too! I'm due for hatches on the first and am running out of time! Hopefully no rain tomorrow! Guess it's just a sit inside and stare at the new silver penciled rocks day for me!

My, I thought the Wichita/Hutch areas would be getting some of this rain! It's just weird how it hits and misses. I hope you get some in the next couple of days they're still talking rain for us.

Wichita did get it. It came down hard last night. The ground/grass is still wet here. I hope you get some today, Katy.

Hey All!

I want to extend an invitation everyone here to visit my egg cam that I finally got up and running. These eggs are from Ivywoods in Hiawatha and should start hatching Saturday evening into Sunday. I'll be setting them in the hatcher around noon. I would be honored if you take a peek at http://geoseggcam.dyndns.tv and keep in mind — this is my first hatch, so I have no idea what's going to transpire in the next 5 days. I am hoping for a non-truamatic hatching of healthy chicks.

Egads! My wife is delivering mail in Smithville, Mo. and they are under a tornado warning. My daughters are freaking out. I am very concerned — especially after Joplin.
