Sunflower Chickens

They said one touched down for a little bit by Harrisonville. I'm outside of Claycomo by worlds of fun, it's supposed to be over us in about 15 min. Sirens have been going off for a minute. Not too worried about tornadoes, but my poor yard is already half flooded. They just said there's a funnel cloud by the stadiums.

What a strange spring, weatherwise! Everyone please be safe and conscious of storms. The Joplin tornado formed EXACTLY over my sister's place. Theres a map that shows the path of the tornado on the map, and #1 on the map is where it started, which is where she lives.

Katy-We got your toad strangler, followed by a gully washer.

GEOKAN!!!!!!!!!! So cool on the egg camera! I'm envious. I will definitely be watching. Heck, I can't even watch my own hatch here! They are in an old GQF with a solid door. By next year I will have both incubators ready to roll, and the hatcher will be the one with the plexiglass door.

Thanks Ivywoods! I can watch from work now and tell my girls how to adjust the plugs, etc. I had 20 that made it to lockdown.

All those Lakenvelder eggs were winners except for 1 that quit. 3 Fuzzy eggs are in. I hope they hatch!

Be safe all! Crazy midwest weather!

The sun is shining here today after a day of drizzle. The flock didn't seem to mind as they played and free ranged in the drizzle all day! I think they are as tired of their muddy chicken yard as we are!

Have a beautiful day fellow Kansans!

Still dry here........this heat and hot wind will finish off the wheat crop.

Still hoping for a big rain for the ponds. It's very muggy here maybe it'll set off some storms this afternoon.

Donning my Rain Dance gear, preparing for a barbeque, washing the car, watering the yard...maybe I should wash windows?
