SunTuf Polycarbonate Roof Panels?

Better yet a band saw with a fine tooth blade.
We tried several of the suggestions we found online but that wasn't one of them. The problem we had was that it wants to crack. Snippers resulted in more crack than cut and it looked like a 5YO had done it. A circular saw was better but it's such a flexible material that keeping it rigid enough to cut without binding was challenging. So, table saw it was. We had the clear version. If I were to do it over, plexi window and metal roof whether hubby likes it or not.

$15 per 8' sheet at Lowes. Easier to cut with snips than 5 ridge metal roofing is.

My husband and I were looking at this as a roof for our run. Right now it's covered with hardware cloth and tarp and we know the tarp won't last. I'm sure hubby already has his plans, but for my curiosity, how did you connect the panels?

Just overlap them. That's what the double V is for on each side. One stacks on top of the other. They make a 12' version if you need to go longer than 8'. If you have to go longer than 12' just overlap the ends like shingles. Then just screw them down on the flat face with self-drilling hex head screws that have a metal washer with a rubber gasket. Lowes had instructions next to the panels.

We put the polycarbonate panels up and then trimmed them back to where we wanted them with a sawsall. The panels did not split and my husband got a pretty decent "straight to my eye" cut. So far, I like the panels and I especially like the extra light that comes through them. I don't like dark gross places and the panels let a lot of light into the coop. Our coop is under trees and we liked the idea of more light and less shade.

Thanks!
