super humid here, no water in bator, but still too high

Doubled the ventilation, and added a box of baking soda and about 10 packs of the silica gel. That brought down the humidity from 70-75 down to 57-58. Next thing I am going to do is go to lowes and buy the carton of the room dehumidifier stuff and pt it near the bator. Hopefully that will let me bring it down to at least 50.

I live in Florida and when i put my bator in the one room i wanted to keep it in, the humidity was 68 percent. the temp was 102. lol. It was not working for me. I took the thermometer around the house and found a bedroom closet that has almost no humity and normal air temp. that's where my bator is now... of course, when the temp of the closet goes up, it does play havoc with my bator temps, but i tweek them as needed, but at least i can control the humidity better.

Maybe you need to check out a closet?

Never thought of the closet, but I will get the hygrometer and go on an "Easter closet" hunt
