Honestly better to worry and ask questions then not pay attention to your flockOk, thanks! I may worry to much....
The colour of the pool now....after several hours of use...View attachment 3456440
A lot better than when their pen was a dirt floor, at least. Not muddy
Still yuck though, most of that discolouration is from poop
They seem to think it tastes better like this
You think they won't poop in the pool?Oh how I love muscovy
Ill definitely keep asking!Honestly better to worry and ask questions then not pay attention to your flock
I didn’t know all the things I know now when I started
I have learned 85% from here asking lots if questions
Things still come up I don’t know or haven’t had happened yet
Don’t feel bad or silly for asking
We are all here to help each other

I am not judging anyone but I never let mine in water until they were fully feathered. Even then mine do not have a pond or swimming pool but have deep watering dishes that they bathe in as adults. I have always been concerned about chilling them and making them ill. I guess I take too many precautions but have never lost any or had any get sick so it has worked for me.So, as im trying to get the duck coop built as fast as i can, weather isnt allowing it. So i had to move the ducks to our unfinished basement, its usally around 50-60 degrees. Yesterday when i took them for a small swim Tsunami, sneezed some, so i checked her nares and they were clean, i also raised the brooder plate so they could go under more. Is it because she is cold?
