Support Group for Abused Duck Keepers

Plenty of abuse today- Werburga doesn't like her younger chicken siblings lol. She's also decided that it's fun to nibble mom's toes...

On a seperate note, does anyone have any experience with in-toed-ness in ducklings? Werburga is about 4wks and she still has trouble walking. She can't stand long either. We given and continue to give plenty of Niacin (brewers+nutritional yeast) in her food and we've also given the liquid B complex as was suggested. So far though, still no luck. Should I attempt to splint/brace her legs?

Luckily, besides being an little velcro bully, she seems to be doing great! I didn't realize how fast ducklings grow, so by golly you can hear the entire family swearing she doubled her size overnight lol 😂

It does sound like a niacin problem
How long have you been doing B complex, and what dosage?

Sprightly had a deficiency as a baby, a little younger than yours is. She got to the point where she couldn't walk properly at all, but with time she made a full recovery

I've been mixing it in her water since she isn't very cooperative if I give it directly. I usually mix 5mL per 2cups of water

I don't know if I should laugh or cry for you😭
You can laugh lol I laugh about it 😂 when my duck went to the vet she started violently tearing into the vets arm so I tucked her into my arm as he looked at her foot and lets just say my arm was covered top to bottom in blood blisters and bruises after that. I let the unknown scary guy touch her little flapper feet I mean how dare I 🫣😂 (I was getting her help for severe bumblefoot I mean I’m so awful I know 😂😂😂)
