spent the last few days slaving to dig the ducks pond in ground
I’m not finished the final touches of the fake grass
Need to trim the edges and put the garden stakes in to hold it down and add the bricks back to the path way but the pond is full ready for them this morning
The ground was wet and in some spots still frozen so I dug this hole with a tiny garden shovel
What I do for my ducks

Ugh, this is gorgeous!
I was meant to be ordering a new set up for my rabbit so I can hurry up and redo the duck set up- but with all the issues this weekend it got completely forgotten about.
I'm going to get to it this evening.

How much did that pond cost? Does it have a plug?

I got that pond second hand I can’t remember what I pad maybe 50 dollars could be more
I did put a plug in it when it was above ground but now I’ll just use the pump and my shop vac to clean it out
My ducks love the deeper ones
They dive in and butts in the air
It must have had a filter on it as it has a piece cut out but I covered that hole with Alien tape a year ago and it’s held water just fine
That stuff is magical
I put a piece over a hole in the kid pool and it’s never leaked there either
I’m going to spruce it up yet but was excited to give them a deep pool after a long winter

I spray the poo down to keep it clean
And it doesn’t hold water as it drains under it

Our hot tub use to sit in that corner and I felt like it was in a dungeon
So we moved the hot tub out of the corner
Didn’t know what I would do with the space
The ducks should be safer from predators being under my covered deck compared to the open yard the pond was at last year

Im supposed to! I actually haven't heard yet from the breeder, which is odd. I'm going to give her another week and then contact her again.

I haven't used fake grass before, but could you put gravel under it? Just thinking of ways to allow good drainage if I were to use it.

Yes you could do gravel maybe a layer of sand or dirt over the gravel so it’s not bumpy under their feet
