My ducks always manage to be ok with each other after the first few hours. My chickens, otoh...

After a year still squabbling with the chickens.
Ducklings on the porch quacking their heads off. (duck house has an enclosed porch in case they don't want to sleep "inside").
Adults hiding in the house. LOL
Now to put the chickens up.

That's a bummer. Wish I could give you some tips but I know nothing of this stuff.

I think i need to do a 2 cycle filteration system so it cycles the dirty water 2 times before going back to the pool.

Locked the young ones in the house with the older ducks for the first time.
Don't hear any deaths happening but no one is happy.

Yes, they do. I did block them off so they cant have sand. And made the grass area bigger But they have grass and dirt. They would take the sand and then run to the pool, im hoping that now they wont be tracking sand it .

I hope that at least helps. Then there's the poo. We even found 2 eggs in the pond.

Well that to. Mine havent started laying yet i hope they do soon though. They are 15 weeks old tomorrow. And if i counted it right by the end of next month they should be laying. Knowing what they will lay while im away for a week

One week left till my little ones go to the new home
We are day13 today
I finally let mom bring them out in the big yard yesterday with the other ducks
I kept my goose along with peep and daisy in the other outside pen as I don’t trust them not yo harm the little ones
All the rest were perfectly fine around mom and her babies
In fact she left them to babysit while she chased grasshoppers
My husky stood guard as they had a swim too
