I wouldn't mind putting sand in, give me a excuse to use the dump truck and play with my other toys as a kid with Tonka toy setI must admit that my husband did help me put sand in the pen this year. He was there for the first few loads and then he disappeared but at least he helped some, lol.
That's great that you have equipment. I have no room for any so I bought a Gorilla Cart that is like a wagon but can manually dump which made it somewhat easier this year. I have city water and no pond but lots of containers of water for them and they take baths in them instead of using it just for drinking unless they can't get into them. lolI wouldn't mind putting sand in, give me a excuse to use the dump truck and play with my other toys as a kid with Tonka toy setNot trying to boast, but I'm sure I got enough room here to hold all of BYC's poultry here, just don't expect to have enough water though.
To get water here, what doesn't come off the roof I have to spend 6 hours to go get from fire department. I ain't paying $64k for a well to be drilled. That's great that you have equipment. I totally get that. My water bill is a lot higher because of them but I still work so it is doable for me to pay. I try not to waste it but can't convince them not to. lolTo get water here, what doesn't come off the roof I have to spend 6 hours to go get from fire department. This is what I'm going to use in the winter to keep the water heated. You can get them on eBay and I think other places. Stick a heating element in it and they last about 4 days with the 30 I have. Fast forward to 56 seconds to see it unless you want to watch the whole video.I wish someone made a heated water bucket that they cannot climb into. I have all different size ducks from Calls to a Mule that is huge. Winter will be harder if they splash it all out and trust me, they will try. I have more ducks right now than I had last winter. They are addicting to me at least. If some of my Mallards turn out to be drakes they will go down the road but I only have 3 in question at this time.
