Saw these at the store the other day
Thinking I need one in my flower garden

After using the pool for a while, we first tried a boat in the ground, (long story, I have an Article on it, but we eventually scrapped it too)
Now we submerged a 300-gallon Rubbermaid watering trough. Drilled a drain as low as possible, put concrete in the bottom, level with the drain for easy wash out with a hose, which feeds out into the woods behind my house. I usually only drain it when I know it’s going to rain, my gutters refill it for me.

I always thought it's another mating behavior? Like the whistling that follows this? Goes to show I have a lot to learn still .

That would be a form of abuse and we all know how ducks love to abuse their owners

How much do your khaki Campbells weigh? I wonder if my girls are around the same size, mine aren't that big.

My khaki is so mean. Since I can remember he's dominated a lot of the ducks when they're just minding their own business. Unfortunately on the other side of the spectrum, Cocoa puff my chocolate runner gets pecked at and chased by all the other ducks every time I see him. He's starting to lose feathers/down all along his back and neck, the poor thing! Anyone know what's going on or what I could do?

You could always put Cocoa puff in a pen with one of the nicer drakes, give him some time to recover
The drakes are likely very hormonal and picking on/attempting to mate the less dominant drakes.

You could also try giving multiple water and feed stations, I've heard that can help.

Good idea, thank you. It seems like thats what they're doing. At this point he's started to keep his distance from everyone and is sometimes unresponsive to treats because the other drakes are nearby. The thing is even when I let the others into the yard, if he stays back he stays in one spot for hours, usually sleeping. As soon as I get him to go out he enjoys running around in the yard but then gets chased again
