She looks gorgeous with a dark beak!

I love my girls freckles. I was camping in a tent with them when I spotted them for the first time. Ah what an adventure that was. I remember early morning (crack of dawn) they woke me up. Then Sprightly laid an egg on my pillow.
They found the whole thing very exciting. I did not enjoy the experience. Its a long story. Sigh.

But yeah, my mum isn't a fan of the bill freckles lol

Don't worry, Dougie made sure there was more than just eggs there..... but thankfully that was in the morning and not during the night.......
It was all very impulsive.
Basically their first "moving outside" night failed. I was camping close to them to make myself feel better about leaving them out there
But after a while I checked on them and worried the vents weren't big enough. I didn't want to take any risks so they came into the tent for the night since I'd locked myself out of the house and it was realllllly late

It was an experience.
Expanded the vents, tried again without being so dramatic and it was all fine

Back when daisy had a orange beak
Now it’s almost black
Once she started to lay eggs she got spots and now it’s almost covered
Your mom would be really frantic over Daisys mouldy beak

I love that color though!! It reminds me of a silver swedish.

Daisys white daughter is getting spots on her beak too it started on January when she started to lay as well

Well night 3 with daisy and peep in the duck house with the crew
I like to sit in there and make sure they all settle
I do have daisy and peep in their own little area so the boys don’t fight
The yard they can find places to get away but in a inclosed house it’s much harder
Tonight they were all really loud
So I started to sing
You are my sunshine and twinkle twinkle little star
They all stopped chattering and settled in
How many of you sing to your flock?

But my ducks already think they're celebrities, so I think that would just go to their heads

I sing to them too!
You are my sunshine, lavenders blue dilly dilly (their all time favoriite). And occasionally nonsense, don't know what the neighbours think

But I only sing to them when Sprightly is in a good mood, otherwise she yells at me until I stop. Dougie always loves it though. It's the only thing that got them to sleep as babies. They could be running around, but as soon as I began singing, they'd stop everything, lay down and look at me with the sleepy eyes. Every time.
