One of our brown bantam hens has been sitting on 18 eggs (a surprise to us) ... today must have been day 21! She hatched 5 this morning (1 didn't make it).
They are ADORABLE! I think our Ameraucanas roo, Thurston, is the Papa to most, if not all.
I hatched two more in the house (mama wouldn't stay on the nest with the four babies running around), and have 11 more eggs in the incubator. Didn't want to chance her not getting back to the nest quickly enough, especially with this chilly weather.
One of the eggs in the bator is hatching now -- looks to be about half way out. All are doing well, so far!

Here are the two I hatched in the house... ooooh, they're cute!
One has Thurston's comb, the other has mama hen's comb. They both have Thurston's beard and ear fluffs.
