Surviving Minnesota!

Good morning!

So right now I have 2 name suggestions for Dakota's calf. They are North, and Stella. I don't know which one like best!!

I may have found someone who wants to buy my ducks, but they live 4 1/2 hours away. I can't wait to get rid of my ducks though, they are so messy, and see such pains!
Especially now that I have a Rouen that that gets picked on so much that she wants to sleep outside.

Right now I have 5 broodies all together. The chantecler, all 3 silkies, and a Rouen duck. The chantecler has 4 eggs under her, I think they are all going to make it, and they are on day 14, I think

I need to figure out how to make a run for my cochins, just from 6-6. I'm hoping that just taking some chicken wire and hooking it on some large stakes/posts works.

What age do cochins start laying at?

Cochins take quite awhile to start laying. Probably 26-30 weeks.

This is called "learning by trial and error though life experiences"... So many people are unable to learn and keep making the same mistake over and over, Surprisingly most own waterfowl.. Grats on getting rid of them.
