Surviving Minnesota!

Best gift I ever received was a Swiss army knife (one with a scissors and nail file included) I use the knife almost everyday! I got it for valentines. I'm going to get one for my daughter soon, I wish i'd have thought of it sooner for this year though... still might!

Beautiful Roos!

I Was STRETCHING the truth there a tad..I was thinking of getting her a sweater like that,, I, in fact, have nothing for her yet, I will never buy real clothing, it would be wrong, Just like I would never buy anything for the house, it would be wrong...

I did think about a way too small something to wear, but I thought that would be wrong too.

I learned long ago, kitchen appliances and gadgets, which I love, is wrong..

A new vacuum is wrong, I learned that a few years ago.

I have no idea what to get her. BTW Flowers are always a waste of money they simply wilt and dry up and need to be thrown out.

I bought her a new rod and reel one year...That was wrong...

What am I to do?
Hey Ralphie - I have an idea! Its a store in Monticello called Classique. Lottsa shiny stuff in there. HO HO HO

I am thinking of selling my pair of blue Muscovys... Would anyone be interested??

1000

I'll get more pics tomorrow.

I am not sure if I should mention this here either. But I consider you all my friends and I would tell my friends.

My Grandkids (Son's kids) other Grandpa ( I hope that explains who he is ) Had a severe stroke last night. The Dr's said the next 48 hours are critical. They put him in an induced coma for next 30 days. Because of where the stroke was in the brain they do not know if he will be able to ever communicate again. The chances of speaking are slim to none.

They gave him a 20% chance of surviving this. We are all trying to wrap our heads around this. A real Christmas bummer. While he is not related to me, we are like he said at my Dad's funeral " all family now". My Dad died 2 weeks after his Daughter married my Son 8 years ago.

I am not sure what to even ask for in prayers, but they would be appreciated. He is only 62.

Sorry for the morning downer. I will do my best to not mention this again.

I am thinking it is a good day to go outside and find something to keep me busy, after a barrel of coffee.

Sorry to hear the other Grandpa is ill! It's very sad. My father died at 62, way too young. Hope he can pull through! Prayers being sent.

Ralphie, sorry to read about your grandkids other grandpa. 62 is way too young, and it seems from what you wrote that he is a classy guy. My own father died at 63 from cancer and I thought that he had lived a good long life. I was 30 at the time. It was only later that I came to appreciate how much life is to be lived after the age of retirement, so I took no chances and retired early.
I read a saying the other day which goes like this " may you live as long as you want and want to live as long as you do". This is my wish to all.

Excellent saying, I had not heard it before.

You did right, too many people work only to die two weeks after they retire.

Thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers.

I really like the nice compliments about Ed and King George, But I have to tell you, they should go to EJB and Aussiegal, they raised them I just have them living here now.

That same applies to Ole's son. EJB found Ole and raised Ole, I only had him long enough to breed a few of my hens, (like every hen 20 times day, compulsive little sex addict he was.)

I wonder if we can blame that on EJB???
