This guy is out of the EE eggs from you that I hatched, @duluthralphie
He is so pretty! The hen that I got out of them lays a very pretty blue egg.

That is a descendent of "Ole" the Blue egg gene EE I got from EJB. All of his boys have that blue tail. I have one I am using now "Sven". I also have one in the bull pen that is a son of Sven.

I have not been disappointed in in any of them from Ole's line. He was worth twice what I paid for him...Which was nothing.

It is amazing how many of us from BYC have the Ole blue line egg chickens now.

I need to know though, Is he a serial rapist? Ole was but Sven is not so much. SVEN is a better rooster in that he is gentler on the hens.

Edited to change the name I accidentally wrote Ole when I meant Sven.

Yes, he is! Especially when he first started. I think he has calmed now, but it was bad enough to keep a few of my hens from going to bed at night, because he would wait for them to come in the pop door and jump them. For weeks I was gathering hens at night to put them into the coop after dark. I still have two hens that roost in the "entry" of my chicken shed instead of going into their barn coop. I had named him George, but changed it to Randy because I kept referring to him as being "very randy".

Who here wants to come over and participate in a Chicken bathing school?

I will supply the chickens, shampoo and towels.

Maybe even Henry's and Mile's adult beverage...

Let me know. The school will be starting in an hour or so.
