Surviving Minnesota!

Anyone know how to copy a image code from photobucket . Trying to post a picture on another site . I could not get anything but the whole album when I tried .

I haven't used the site in a long time, but you should be able to just copy and paste either the Direct or IMG code to the right of the photo you want to post. It shouldn't copy the entire album by doing that, but who knows.

Cass County did a good job and so did the State in our neck of the woods. I saw the county trucks were sanding the roads BEFORE the ice storm started at 3 on Sunday. Crow Wing County did not use their heads as far as I could see when we headed to Crosby yesterday. I'm impressed with our Northern Road crew. Not sure how Itasca county will be fore you. But in this day and age you'd think they'd have 'er taken care of in 3 days. Travel safe....!

The other day we were talking about VJP poultry I saw their ad on Craigslist this morning. I am not sure they are the ones that asked about the legbars.

I thought it was one in Isanti or Cambridge not Forest Lake. Is there a NPIP hatchery there does anyone know?

I need to rid of some, I have more legbar hens than I would ever sell the chicks from, Of course, I have to go through them and keep the best for myself.

Evening all! a busy day here. havent been much to post about or time to post it.

About the only interesting thing is that i finally got official say on if I will be allowed to General Contract my own house build... unfortunately the word is NO but at least now I know and can get on with it. Banks just dont want to take any risks anymore after the last housing bubble bust. I do think i have a GC that will allow me to do some of my own work though, so maybe i will get the best of both worlds. My goal is to have the GC signed and plans under way in the next 2 weeks. otherwise I am afraid that i will not be ready to break ground in time.

If i get a few minutes later i will see if i cant convert my floor plan ive drawn in excel to a photo and share on here. Its almost ready to take to someone to preliminary plans off of.

We built our own. We wanted it as simple as possible, plumbing all on one side. Its basically a rectangle that's got bedrooms on each side an open office and the middle is open for a kitchen and living room.
At first my dad was only able to work on it every 10 days for 4 days. But we got it done in a year would've been almost 9 m months delay because of concrete not being able to get over a crossing and we had to postpone trusses for 3 weeks

Kloppers you might have to check a different bank or go through a company like this"

http://www.williamfederhomes.com/why-choose-wfh.html

I know nothing about them. My wife and I built a couple homes ourselves when we were young, contracting out the things we did not want to do.

We went through a company called "martin homes" which is long gone now, it was the same guy that started "capp homes'. They offer construction financing for a certain period, then they line you up with a bank or you can go to your own, when the home is complete or nearly so.

It is too bad the banks are not willing to allow a person to be their own general. They still can control the money and make sure it is not spent until the job is done.
