Found some beautiful False Morels and other deadly shrooms the other day... Only one good Morrel that we could find... Didn't get a pic of that one...

Speaking of the Wadena Auction. Does anyone other than Ralphie and I plan on attending? Based off the papers it looks like they will have antiques and stuff too.

I would have liked to go but I am headed to the Shepherds Harvest Festival on Sunday...way too much driving for me to visit both events.

Well, I think she is an illegal alien from the Vast Wasteland of the North, or she is just plain nuts. Hard to tell the difference....


I really think when the chicks hatched an she saw them she thought they were trying to get to her eggs and attacked them. She is not smart enough to know chicks come from those eggs.

She was a first time broody. She might be fine this time around. I know this sounds bad, but I am just tired of her and her broody craziness...much like I am with person from the Vast Wastelands of the North...

wow...that sucks. Does this mean my broodies could decide to sit on more eggs when these chicks are bigger?

What's the Sheperds Harvest Festival? Never heard of it but sounds fun

Here is the link http://shepherdsharvestfestival.org/ it has all kinds of cool stuff and animals related to spinning, yarn, fiber arts, breeding sheep, angora rabbits...

I am interested in getting some fiber sheep next spring to sell my own spun yarns and wanted to find a good breeder of Shetlands and Icelandics and there will be one there

I have been looking forward to this for the last two months when I found out about it!!

Did you pick this one Holm and open the stalk?

I think that is a yellow, and you normally, I am guessing only have blacks up there.


While the cap hangs free, most false morels I have seen are more "squishy" looking.



BTW I have a cousin near you that loves false morels, even though we have told her she is playing with fire eating them. She posted some the other day that Judy showed me and they were all darker and squatier.
