Mmmmmm, super-sized thighs - my favorite part of the chicken! Sounds like a winner.
The cockerels will dress out over 15 pounds. They are so juicy and taste like old fashion chicken and not the stuff in the store.

Good news....Bogtown my pullet is better but still notice a limp from her now and then.
Good news....
Mine's not improving even with B vitamins. I'll probably cull her next week. :/
Bummer,,
I am giving her (my bird) meds and physical therapy. I would think she would do ok.
The physical therapy starts the second she sees me bring the syringe and needle towards her. She becomes extremely active and uses ever muscle in her body to twist, turn and push me away. She even got a good hard bite on my thumb today. It continues with Jaw clinches and head butts as I try to open her mouth to get the antibiotic down her throat followed by the oral B12.
It is quite a work out for both of us. She can walk and move but seems to chose not too. She should try harder, she is just an EE and they are not worth all that much effort around here.

It was pretty covered in "dirt." Now to get more eggs, get them to lay in the box and sleep in the roost.Wipe em crack em and eat em...LOL
I sand off the dirt and rinse them just before I use them in hot water. The people I sell eggs to want the dirt and all on them. (within reason of course).
