Surviving Minnesota!

Morning all...

Well, I have bad news for Judy.. I have not won the term life insurance lottery here...BUT she is out of the running as of today. Most of my term insurance ended last night.... I have told her for 20 years since the kids left to stop paying for it,,,She worries so much she kept on paying.

We don't need insurance, haven't for years..

Other news. I am thinking we need to not vote the weatherman off the island, We need to lynch him... I get up expecting to see a beautiful day with temps in the 40's. My broken temp measuring device from Menards is telling me it is 12 degrees...

No wind or clouds this is good.

I have no big plans except to Send a turkey or two to Turkey Heaven today or tomorrow depending on temps, I might let a couple chickens go with them.

I hope to clean and disinfect the incubators and hatchers this week, Get the trays washed and all the float valves soaked in CLR so they work. I found I have a none working heater for the steel water founts. I am thinking of trying BC's method of a 25 watt light bulb in it. I have a couple of the temp controlled outlets doohickeys that come on at 35 and go off at 45. I hope that cuts down on electric use and heats the founts enough. I think I will put it in the Guinea Gulag as that is the coop that if it burns down I lose the least.

I should have a good week, no political meetings that I know of.

Happy late birthday ILLS!
Where in the heck do you live BantyChooks and why do you live there?
Sunny and mild  here but I still came in from working in the garage because I am cold. Listening to the Viking/Ram game and moving around the house. BBQ Ribs for dinner tonight.
North, and I live here because summer temperatures hover near 75°F. None of the 95°F nonsense you all have.
