I do!!!! They don't seem to care, on the Sabbath they refuse to work!
Actually I am finding the ones on the lights do lay more, and eat more than those outside in the cold with no lights. So I can verify EJB's theory on lights and feed.
I put 2 toad hens inside with the evil toad rooster. He treats them well in the cage and I get an egg or two a day from them after less than a week under lights. The out door toads are not laying. When I finish the larger pen inside I am bring another toad in. I will start hatching toads as soon as I can. I might get 2 generations again this year. I sure could use the "next phase" rooster I need...Hint..hint...hint...
I have what appear to be 3 cockerels that are about 4 weeks old. I could probally part with one as soon as you are ready for him. Or I could house him with some mircle grow for a few more months.
