I want them to be able to survive, just not on my birds that I pay a lot of money for feed on. I had an internship at the Raptor Center in 2011 in the education department (handling, presentations, daily care of the program birds), and I'm on the transport crew now so if there are any injured raptors in my area I get a call. I either just meet someone to put whatever it is in my car and drive to St. Paul, or meet someone part way there, or I have to actually capture it. I only had to do that once with a red tail, I had never done it before and had to get it out of a lower limb of a tree. All I had was a towel, but I got it lol. I definitely have conflicting interests!

Nope. Hitting over the head is allowed, I think.. I almost had to turn myself in when I had a rat in a trap and dumped him in a barrel of water. However, the little guy snuck out of the trap and swam to the surface where I beaned him with a cement block. He did not escape said block, but his escape saved me from a prison term.

Caught a free ranging cockerel today . Last free ranger I think . There was 1 more but I have not seen it in awhile .
