Surviving Minnesota!

The ground is now accumulating a fresh white layer here, but the worst is to come tonight and tomorrow morning according to the forecast. Potential for double digits and the way the forecast looks it will stay awhile.
erlibird, I hate to put it this way, but I hope it stalls out to the West of me.
May should be better !?

I hope it moves through here quickly and stalls out over the east :tongue
 
We had a new bird at our bird feeder a little bit ago.

I do not think I have ever had one at the feeder before. I know I have not seen one up close before.

A yellow shafted northern flicker.... I see them a lot while walking in fields and woods. Just not at the feeders.

Here he is, sorry the picture is poor, but he was so cool....

The one we had was whiter on the breast. It looked like it was wearing a spotted tux vest.
