EJB do you pair off your pigeons how you want them or do you just let them pair off as they please? I’m debating as to how I want to go about this.. I’m quite excited about these birds.

EJB I am pleased with these Trumpeters so far. Don’t eat or drink near as much as these big Horseman.
Arabian Trumpeter pair. Female is skittish and not friendly but the male is a sweetheart. Sat on my arm most of the way home the other day lol.

Almond Horseman cock.. Excited about this bird..

Almond cock and Khaki hen. Newest Horseman pair.

This brings me to 8 pigeons lol. If I got the chance to add some Archangels I would.


We stopped in Kimball on the way home from Hutch and when I went into the Knauss Smoked meats store my mom was visiting pigeons with the owner. He use to raise and breed rollers.. So I brought him out and we talked birds for awhile and he looked at my new birds. I’ve decided that I’ll make that a stop on all my trips through there.. Nicest people and they have the BEST Horseradish Pickles.. And Venison sticks.. And hotdogs... And Porkchops lmbo.. I highly recommend that place if any of y’all are ever in Kimball..

Holm's. I pair them to my plan. Race birds are primarily based on performance but the other breeds based on conformation and color factors. Pedigrees are an important tool for many reasons as you well know.

Pretty happy with this set up. Gonna build another on the Opposite wall. Locked all my Horseman Cocks up in their own cages and will pair them off with hens in a week or two.

Couldn’t find it. There was blood and hair on the road but he managed to get himself into one of my grandpas corn field. Combine will find it.
