Surviving Minnesota!

I am ready for winter to be over....

Hoover's hen laid an egg. She did not eat it! She was roosting on the waterer and Hoover was roosting on the roost. I may have to make a lower roost for Hoover's hen...

Anyways Hoover's hen might have been innocent and just entering the nest to lay an egg..BUT that means there is another egg eater in that pen..

The Toad egg did not make it successfully to the house. I had 4 eggs in the pail. The toad egg, turkey egg, Speckled Sussex egg and a mutt egg.
Again I slipped and the eggs went flying. I caught myself, but the bucket emptied of eggs, except for one of them. Proving once again the only safe place to carry an egg is in the shirt pockets.

This ice is really starting to be a PITA.
For once I actually agree with you Ralphie. My shirts don't usually have pockets but most of my jackets do. I have broken more eggs on t shirt days than on jacket days. :gig

Not sure if I shared these with you guys or not. Love love love this weather.
