Was there any need to call emergency personnel?

so considering going back into the adventure of butcher birds and I mentioned ralphies toads to a friend. She followed up with asking me about them and I started talking genetics of course he husband a true city guy had his eyes glaze over and asked why not just buy chicken at the store. Honestly she is used to dairy operation but you know farm is farm. :) so thinking about the whole thing ideas on what's good. And does any body have opinions on red rangers? Tis the season for fluffy butts:wee
I have raised Red Rangers. I like them. I haven't actually butchered any yet, though. I got some last spring. A mink killed all the cockerels. The pullets were the first to lay in the fall, laid most through the winter and were the first to start laying regularly this spring. As long as they don't show any signs of ill health or injury, I'm going to keep them around as long as I can. I think they're much easier to raise than Cornish X.
