It’s all the head meat off a pig and beef tongue. It gets all chop up and put into a mold and pressed. The gelatins stock it all together and when you cut it it looks like cheese almost... There are other ingredients in it like onion but I can’t remember the rest of them. My whole family gets together every fall to make it. It’s really good on a sandwich...Must be a Minnesota thang. I’ve heard of it but what exactly is it? Am I gonna wish I hadn’t asked?

Yes hog head meat and gelatin with salt and pepper and small amounts of some other spices . I believe the cheese part came from the pig stomach they once used for the mould . Made a round looking finished product with a white rind . Much like a cheese wheel . They were still making it like that in the 1960s .Must be a Minnesota thang.
