Surviving Minnesota!

Good bitter morning all! The yard was a frost filled wonderland this morning. Thankfully no frozen waters in the barn.

We (strike that) husband and kids brought home 6 pet show pigs ranging in weights from 35 pounds to 80 pounds. So extra mouths (snouts) to feed. One was dumb enough not to lay under the heat lamp last night so it took a little coaxing to get her awake and eating this morning.

I have a nice hatch of buckeyes and buff orpingtons coming out of the hatcher tonight. I'm considering shutting down the incubator already.

Wow! You have a lot going on over there!
How many chicks have you hatched so far this year?
I have only done one batch of chicks and that was just to get my feet wet. I plan to make my incubator work hard this year😂
