It was mid 70s yesterday. Cloudy humid. Not as warm as predicted so maybe tomorrow won’t be as hot either. Weather Dorks don’t really know The swings in temps aren’t good for the chickens. I saw a deer today that looked bad, skinny and poor fur, is it a bad time of year for them or was it sick?

I’ve only seen a handful of mosquitoes here so far. Gnats on the other hand are out in large clouds. My poor birds were bothered by them the other day.
Now that we got rain and warm temps everything is growing. Lawn looks ready to mow again and it’s only been a few days since the last time I mowed. Guess it gives me a reason to mow down all them stupid dandelion heads

Mosquitos carried me into the house on Saturday evening. They were out in droves and they seemed larger than average in size.

Daughter has found a few ticks so far.

Had a appointment the 17th to get a hitch on the new car . Did not have it yet . Still waiting . Looks like it will not be here in time for my travel plans . So we will probably drive 2 cars and forget renting a trailer .

How was everyone’s summer? Did you do much during it? Sure was a hot three days.


Are your leaves turning yet? I am going to get my fish house ready to go tomorrow.
