Surviving Minnesota!

I’m trying to resist 😐

But you won’t hear me complain about the cool down. I got my pond and patio area/garden all cleaned up yesterday without breaking a sweat😆
The trees have made such a mess this year. Seeds everywhere!

Jerry, I don't know when you will be traveling North or how far from your normal route Winter, Wisconsin is, but they likely have started varieties of hardy Lupine there. You can visit their web page at Winter Greenhouse I believe. They have a plant catalog on line, and it is quite extensive.

Good Morning All-
Are we ready for the Great Minnesota Sweat Fest? I have decided to forgo the vegetable garden this year. Between the whirl wind of summer activities for our kids and 2 demanding jobs between my hubby and I....this was the better choice. Word got out that we were not planting a garden and the neighbor kid (nephew) asked if he could make it a sweet corn patch. I came home to a 14 year old plowing the garden and a 13 year old on the small disc. Then the 16 year old daughter comes home from work saying, air conditioning doesn't work in my car.

The older the kids get the more expensive and dangerous their lives get!

On the chicken front....I have hatched about 300 this year and sold about 75, can't wait to see how some of the bantams turn out. While large fowl are beautiful in all their glory, they sure can consume some expensive feed.

Speaking of feed consumption we also are the owners of 8 pigs for 4H shows. (Notice there is no pronouns like "proud" owners.)

I had a great and long overdue visit with @holm25 and @duluthralphie.

I cleaned the brooder area of the coop and dusted it all, ready to put the fan in it for the hot weather coming. It’s all ready too hot and I dread the 90’s that are on the way.
My garden is not planted but I got the fencing from around each of the apple trees off and enclosed the whole area, the trees were out growing their fences.
