Surviving Minnesota!

1000

I am trying to find out what this track is from. BTW I have big hands... Its hard to see in the pic but there is 4 toes and no nail marks like in the yote tracks. There was a mountain lion spotted around here awhile back and that is perfect terrain for one. Lots of trees and spots to attack prey. I found these circling around where the cows sleep and get fed.

Sorry to hear about the lack of quality service some of you have encountered at your local Menards store. My solution is for you to shop at Menards Hermantown store, as the service I have experienced there has always been excellent.

Nathan, nice videos. Now put that creative genius to work on the resurrection of the Maiden Rocks.

Holm, I think that your logic is faulty with regard to the Tarentaise. You should be interested in quality Red Angus or Shorthorn. If you must have something out of the norm then go with Marray Grey. The production of choice to prime beef from cows of moderate size with calving ease is what one should be striving for, if profit is the goal for the long term.

The Goshawks have eliminated most of the rabbits and grouse in my area and would have chicken for lunch if I would let them out.

Ralphie, it was a big mistake to block that skid steer in, and if you do not correct that problem you are doomed to experience successive heavy snow episodes until you do. Murphy's Law.
Thank you. I am very excited to start hatching when spring comes, and my hens are starting to be interested in the nests!

It's pretty hard to make out, but it looks big. It looks like that snow was melting, so the track could be a little misshapen by now.

okay so I just had this on my Facebook Feed and it is one of the best Super Bowl Commercials ever. And even if you aren't full fledged "farmer"...there is that something in you right now raising birds that makes this piece ring home.

Rhett Have you tried grilling  burger in front of her and telling her where bad cow mommies go?

The smartest thing I did last year was putting that hi-tensile Kelvar  cable on the 4 wheeler!   It took me all of three minutes to fix it!  When I had the steel cable it was a 3-4 hour job to fix the cable.    I have been plowing snow most the day. I really enjoy plowing snow on the 4 wheeler!  DO NOT TELL JUDY THIS!  She needs to think it is a miserable terrible job that I would do anything to get out of.   I came in because Pearl is whining about cold paws.  I am headed back out and see if I can find more snow to move.

I know what you mean! Once I get going with my plow truck it can be hard to quit. There is always just a few more passed that could be made. Especially once the heat gets going. Very comfy

Ralphie and Kloppers. I know that snow plowing business is fun. It's extra 'work' in DH's day but I don't usually see him grumbling about snow plowing.

One of my favorite things to do is in the spring. Hooking on the grade behind the four-wheeler and filling in the ruts. Love that.... Don't tell DH...
