Surviving Minnesota!

Ralphie, when taking into consideration the lack of engineering Practicality one must consider you are working on a Ford. Do you realize that until quite recent times to align the front end of a Ford truck the front axle had to be heated and bent?

Sorry about the hatch failure. Hopefully better days are ahead.

Ask your brother to explain the shift in economic activity in Russia and China. I assume the response will be amusing if nothing else.

Mothers can be frustrating, but I anticipate you will miss her once she is gone.

BC what was the cause of this problem for your better half, and how is he doing? His physical activity level will be much reduced for some time?

I remember the heat and pound front ends well....Another better idea. Why would anyone have a design where hubs (hence wheel bearings) have to be removed to replace a expendable item like brake shoes???

Sorry about the hatch failure. Hopefully better days are ahead. Poop Happens, but thanks!

Mothers can be frustrating, but I anticipate you will miss her once she is gone. There is no doubt about it...However, If I ever want to write a book, she will give me enough material....maybe even for a sequel.

Ralphie, I can not resist stirring the pot. On the internet is a speech which was given by "Nobel Laureate" physicist Ivar Giaever at the July 2015 Nobel Laureates conference. If you wish to stir things up ask him if he is familiar with it.
It is well worth listening to. Especially for those who recognize the climate change weather cycle being largely in response to human activity theory to be political double speak.

Hey Erli, Ed, Ralphie and Jerry: DH's surgery was uneventful and we left the hospital at 9:00pm. Home at 10:30 after quick stop at target. Long day/ night.

They anchored his tendon back to his knee cap. He was dancing last Friday and slipped on some water on the floor. And hit the floor. The tendon popped right away.
He wasn't even that juiced up on brewskis. I was home with the teenagers at the time-- reffing.

Anyways he can't shower for 5-7 days. Just PTAs. Then his immobility brace stays on for 3 weeks. Unless he showers. And then it will be adjusted with a slight bend in PT. That new brace will be 8 weeks. He has not had a wink of sleep all last night. The Vicodin amps him up. But he looks tired. His brace has a bar that digs into his calf. All sorts of complaints but I'm glad he's home and were on the road to recovery.

Hope he has as quick a recovery as possible. For everyone's sake!

Rainy day here . Cold and damp . Eggs sold this week . So doing good . Cool cloudy and damp yesterday . So I did not go to the sale barn .

Hi all!

Got some more work done on my growout coop shed thing. Just needs a pop door, some paint, and a roost... plus a few little details. Well, that is for the big pen. Going to add a small pen, too. I'm doing all this work and wondering why I didn't just skip the separate pens thing, and made it one big coop. Would have been so much easier. :p

Anyway, one of my roosters went missing today. He was in my main pen, but the big roo in there beat him up, so I just let him out into the main part of the barn to live until I get a bachelor pad set up somewhere. Today, he is gone. First I thought maybe he went up into the loft, but nope, not there. It is possible that he got outside (I have an old roll door that the cats use to get in and out by pushing open the corner.. maybe he snuck out that way....) I couldn't find him anywhere though.
