Surviving Minnesota!

I have a mix, I have 4 amost 2 year old hatchery SLW hens that I got from Anoka farm and garden, I have 2 Black Copper Marans hens and a roo, I bought them from a gal near me who breeds BCM's, and the rest are mixes that I hatched from those birds in late July

How soon are you looking to move them? I might be interested in the BCMs and to be honest maybe would take everything. We have lost a number of birds in the last 2 months and could probably fit them in.

I am looking to move them whenever someone has a good home for them. DW would be heartbroken if they turned into soup right away.

They would not be soup birds here they would join our free range laying flock. I would probably pen off the BCMs for a bit in the spring and hatch some of those pure

I gave "minnesotanice" several dozen eggs out of the marans last fall and she had an excellent hatch rate, so Lucky the Roo is proven capable.

Are my prices to high?? I hate to have a maximum order but I'm not big enough yet to not have a maximum

I am not sure. I think if you really want someone to take them you are going to have to pay them more than 7.50..

I would need at least 10 bucks a piece to take them. Just to cover the refuse service charges...
