CXs??
Thanks for the list, that is great!Herbs that are beneficial for birds:
mint: king of the herbs for me. Diverts rodents and I think insects to a degree. Watch out though it spreads like crazy. Necessary herb for summer MOJITOS by the way!
lavender: calming and soothing. I've never had luck with it. It needs well drained soil and likes heat. We have clay and a lot of rain in June sometimes.
Oregano: good at keeping E. coli down, salmonella, some respiratory bugs. Actually VetRx has oregano oil in it.
Yarrow: I loved this gorgeous plant in my garden: I have a plant that will bloom orange and yellow and I have a hot pink one too. Health benefits are respiratory health.
Lemongrass and lemon balm. Are insect and rodent repellents respectively.
Pineapple sage: loved! This one. Very aromatic. Grew beautiful and lush.
Bee balm: antiseptic/antibiotic, respiratory aid when ingested. Gorgeous and hardy spreads and re seeds so you can share with friends.
Rose petals: detox.
Nasturtium: natural wormer.
Marjoram, fennel, nettles: claims to be laying stimulants
Marigolds: petals make yolks brighter
Garlic: digestive health
Threw some extra corn to warm the tummy tonight
I did the same thing, I gave everyone shell corn, I did not give Bert and his girls anything but corn yesterday and today. I hate feeding them it normally, and I limit their food, but in this weather the limits are off and they can have as many carbs as they want.
