Surviving Minnesota!

Have you tried to bump the calf?
I did not bump her. I did see the calf move 2 days ago on its own.

What did you feel? Where is the head?
My BIL was out there 2 nights ago feeling the calves in both cows. He said that it feels like this one is in a different position than the other one. I don't remember specifically what he said the differences were but it sounded good like this one was close.

Besides fidgeting is she "normal"?
Yes, she is acting normal.
Have you taken her temperature?
No. I have no means to do it nor do I know how.
Is her milk in?
Well, a BIL felt her udder yesterday and he said it was fuller on one side or 3 out of 4 quarters. He did not try to pull any milk out and there isn't any milk leaking.
The udder looks extremely small for the way her butt looks....
Yes, from the back the udder looks small. It really pulls up towards the back with those 2 extra teats. If I could have gotten a side shot it looks better. When standing with a profile shot I can see her teats hanging down with out me bending down to look if that makes sense.

So a BIL was just out there scooping poop and he said that she is leaking a thick goo from the back and she is pooping and that it seems runnier to him and she is trying a bit to poop but it doesn't seem like much is coming out. I am assuming that the goo is her mucus plug and the runny poo means it is cleaning out room in the canal for impending baby. What do you think?

I have all boys left of my babies, Now what do I do?

Does Coffee want more?

How many do you have?

I have 4 boys left.. I am feeling bad now,

I sold my 2 last girls, and I threw in a Pat for free,

They are thinking they got two boys.. I am still thinking they got at least 2 girls. But now I am doubting my self. The one had a small spot on the head (and I mean small) but had the chipmunk lines and eye liner and the color was wrong fro rooster..

I hope I did not make a mistake. but I did tell them if it is a rooster I will get them a hen. They seem happy, but I am still sad if I made an error...

Here is the picture they sent me..

Any thoughts on it..

I am not sure, I hope it is the plug. On a heifer the lopsided bag is not a big deal. I wish I could see and fell her. Pictures are poor a substitute for the real thing..
