Surviving Minnesota!

Here is a video of my geese exercising! Every day now that Elizabeth is incubating eggs she gets off, they walk to the swamp at the opposite end of the property, then fly back for a meal.

I just planted eggs in the hatcher.....

23----- cream legbars
26 turkey eggs
5 Black Australorps
10 Minnesota Australorps
2 speckled Sussex
7 toad eggs!!! WTG Bert!
20 EE

And once again no Partridge Chanticlers,,,They were all clears again. But there were only a few because of the broody problem.

These are all set to hatch on the 13th.

He's a border collie/aussie mix. Super duper smart, but I just cannot channel that intense smartness to do what I want, yet.  I would rather he want eggs instead of the chicken. LOL! But I know what you mean.  We have chickens for their precious eggs and I do love finding them.
I'm surprised a hearding dog is killing the chickens. :( mine doesn't pay them any attention at all (aussie). He used to eat their poo, but he have that up. Just tries to eat their food now :/ good luck with training.

I just put alot of eggs in the incubator. I even put in more turkey eggs. What a waist of space! Ugh I may try to AI the hen tomorrow. I cant even pick the hen up without her beating the shawty out of me. I'm scared she will call the cops on me for doing this but it must be done to get some babies!

The cochins got to free range for the first time today. Only for 15 minutes though.
This picture shows the first thing the hen did though
