Surviving Minnesota!

I grow Stevia. It is a green leaf and is very sweet. Crush it and put it in coffee, tea and other stuff. My spearmint is contained in a pot; I haven't found my peppermint this year so I may need to replace it; and surprise! Chocolate mint and Pineapple mint are growing again - left over from last year.
Gonna go disinfect that little coop. DH agreed that another roost area under the roof shed area of the run would be a good addition.

I feel happy about that. But then I am very nice to him plus I caught him as he was packing to leave for Aitkin. And I made him chocolate cake with ALOT of chocolate frosting on it to take with. That was nice of me

I need to get all my projects done before the age of 70. I want to begin to relax then. LOL.

LOL. MNnice - sounds like you need some cheering up! I love days like this. Not if I am camping - which does not happen too many times during the year anymore. I have been working inside the run alllll morning. Pulled the entire coop apart. Going to move its location and make some changes on the run. Just came in for a food break and reading. Saw MNnice and thought I would try to make you smile. Hope your day gets better.

We don't camp on Memorial weekend anymore. It's always raining and it makes for a crabby DH.

Ha hah, I'll be happy in a few short months. I'm due to have a little one in August and this weather makes me want to heavily drink

That is all. Lol

I just squeezed in a dozen for someone who wanted some today. I had an early layer this morning thankfully. I may have to put some solar string lights in the coop. Mine have been roosting early as well.

I've never heard of Stevia. You have to fill me in on what that is. Recipe noted.

I buy the sugar packets at the grocery store. It's a sugar subsitute as the others said. But natural. trying to keep the drink healthy. Heh, Heh, Heh.
You mean her drink only has one shot of rum,for alcohol content,,? What good is just one shot suppose to be?
I don't think I said how big my shot was....Just sayin'....

Stevia is an alternative sweetener made from the juice of the stevia plant. It is much sweeter than sugar and lower calories as well. Much better for you than saccharine or other fake low calorie sweeteners.
Thank you Kloppers.

I should grow some Stevia.... I think MinnesotaNice is Preggers, Ivie. That's why she's craving a refreshing drink...LOL.

Oh so not too big for a pekin. How old is she? Haha, you would breed your africans to the standard and I would breed them back to Swan geese! Everyone has different priorities, thats awesome you want to conserve the old breeds.

She is 2 this spring. My gander has made her bald... Je thought he could breed her... I want to breed old breeds but they are spendy!

I found this in the incubator . No skull . Legbar mix . I doubt it will make it exposed like that . Not vaulted . Rare but sometimes happens in crested breeds .

Yea, it takes my breath away too, it is just so darn scary. I might have nightmares if I see it before bed,.
Waterfowl always scare you!

Oh poor duck! Yeah, I think Sebastapols from Metzers are 60 dollars each, and thats for a gosling, I can't imagine how much a adult would be.

Oh, too bad! Are you going to put it out of its misery? Because it can't live like that right?
