Going to try half runner beans this year . Anyone grow these ? I will also plant pole beans Fortex and Kentucky blue . Yes I no longer want to bend down to pick beans . Cloudy all day here . More rain coming tonight and into tomorrow 1/2 predicted . It was actually a few degrees warmer in Longville today .

I planted pole beans last year, Some were good.

Those really long (3 ft or more) ones were not worth picking,,,,,

Ok I went missing.... I'm back now. Yay update.. I'm working more at my photography job with local paper. Gave up on the chick idea buying some laying hens from the Amish for 1.50 a hen. My father says that's a high price. According to Mary Yoder they are brown chickens that lay brown eggs. So purchasing 4 to see if my predators have moved on before jumping into fluff butts. Though my husband gave me the a ok for a couple ducklings.

Hey didn't someone recently break a broom handle . BC I think . No children were harmed as I recall .

Oh boy I'm not going to live that down am I?! As a matter of fact I went to the dollar general and replaced it for $4 just a few hours ago. Probably was due. I bought that broom for the new house we built in South Haven. 18 years ago. $4 divided by 18 years. Not too bad.

We candled the blue silkie's Welsummer eggs at Shannon's. 7 days incubating, Thunderclap is 4 for 4.
In the classroom incubator we're at 18 for of 24. Those will be a Tuesday or Wednesday hatch. Chicks are filling the egg space with folded in necks. It's went fast! I need to get my brooder ready!

Well. naturally, but I did have to hide the remote so I could get some work done. I can't stay in the house and change channels for her all day long.

I guess, I will call it a nght, Judy wants the TV turned off, so I need to go dig out the remote and turn the TV off for her....

You know she would just mess my TV up if she tried to turn it off herself.
Besides we have 4 remotes we need to use...Neither of us could figure out how to put all the stuff on one...


And she can never figure out which remote controls what...

Yes Thunderclap is a blue silkie hen of my friend's named by her 4 yer old nephew who claimed and named her.

All I can think of is the song 'Thunderstruck' by AC/DC when I see that bird.
