I would be locked in jail if someone put out poison that killed one of my animals....

We did this a lot the past two years and found the coons about 3 feet from the poison every time

It does work almost instantly, but someone who hasn't used it wouldn't know. I don't use rat poison. It does cause a slow painful death. All my chickens are still alive the coon was around for about a week, and nothing else would get rid of it. I am not going to let it come every night until it figures out a way to get them. I put the life of my chickens above the coon. They are my pets, but they are a food source for my family. Coons can live up in the woods all they want as long as they leave us alone, and I still try everything else as a possibility first. Unfortunately, they won't stop once they find one thing. They'll be back every night and they are smart and can be dangerous. They are not cats. They are not pets. They are wild predators here to tear up everything looking for one tiny morsel.

Isn't that kind of hypocritical putting a pets life over a person. Everyone wants to defend right to live. Well that's what I'm defending right to live, and I'll place food in my family's mouth over an animal. I'm sorry, but that's just the cycle of life.

Reserve Champion Overall she lost to a pretty good Australorp in terms of body and head, it's legs weren't the right color, and looked like to have scale mites. The Pullet also lost because she had a few woodchips in her thigh feathers.

Technically got Reserve Champion Pullet but our county has a rule that 2 birds from the same person cannot win reserve and Grand. So it was given to a pretty nice looking 4 month RIR
