Good Morning Chickeners . . . . Jerry - you won by the skin on your teeth! I should not have read the thread first - oh well, maybe tomorrow. Early bird!

Okay - so what are the rest of the plans? You will be going right by our new place if you go 169 to 3 and 3 to Emily. We are just off 3 on 405th Place. Exciting.I am planning to leave here at 8 tomorrow, that will get me to Emily at 10. Because my rider is a tad slow sometimes, I figure 10:15. (she will require One more coffee stop than me. She always insists on a bathroom to drain excess coffee off)...

Need to cut and move some slab wood . I will start saw milling in a few days . So that pile has to go elsewhere . Janet is going shopping today . So I will be without my truck for a few hours . Think I will work on the stairs while she is gone .
So my next experiment...Make some Production or Sexlink birds.
I have been doing some research I have a nice looking and fairly large Rhode Island Red Cockerel (from Duane Urch) to cover either the Barred Rock Hens (1 year old hatchery stock but good layers) or I can use the Dominique Pullets that are 6 months old. I have found soooo much conflicting info about creating your own Sexlinks.
One of the myths I found (on a Facebook Chicken group) that I want to prove wrong is that you can NOT make a sexlink from anything other than Single Combed breed. The little devil in me says to hatch one and post a picture captioned..."I told you so" but hopefully the angel in me keeps my fingers at bay.
The only reason I am pulling the Doms into the mix is for the smaller comb here in the north country.
I am looking for opinions and experiences. Anyone care to share.
