Surviving Minnesota!

I have thought about nipples. But putting nipples in a conditioning cage would be a pain IMO. I know people who also live in cold climates who use the cups so I am willing to buy 10 or so and try them. Most just have a well insulated building, and the water circulates back into a heated area and then goes back through the system from there

I use cups, in the summer. They will freeze in the throat during the winter...

Beware of insulating your coop. Humidity will go up the combs will freeze worse and you will get respiratory infections...

Yep, hot and warm water freezes before cold...I had to try it last year to believe it.....However there is not all that much difference in time.

Be as it may the school angels came through to my surprise and a class I was on the wait list for opened up. So yes I am now enrolled for one more Graduate class for the Spring semester... I am not sure I am thankful for that yet or not.

We are up to about a doz eggs a day or so. Today was 16. The girls are coming out of the molt nicely. But it took them hard and quite awhile to grow in those feathers.

I must have too. Morning Cluckies and Erli.

I’m getting some progress on cleaning this house up for the holidays. Christmas cards were done last night too.

Chickens are getting Brussels sprout leaves, squash, potato skins and steak gristle today. I think they like steak night too! :drool
