Surviving Minnesota!

Erli: what were the subjects of the mushroom class? I’ve found a Foraging facebook site most helpful. The gentleman forager. He’ll take photos of poisonous ones too. But I scan the photos of what’s in his baskets. And after a few views of his albums you know which is which. I also recommend a foraging mushroom book. You might be able to check out Ralphies library. Lol.

It is a bit nippy today.

Birds are out and have 4 friends coming over for coffee. Best get cracking.

I don't do facebook, but I will do some internet searches for info :)

I think the eggs may taste like Sardines ?!! It is known as Northern Hillbilly chicken treats.
I should learn about this mushroom gathering, but at my age I am forgetting things as opposed to adding things to the memory bank ? I could pick them and deliver to Ralphie, as I understand it he has a taste tester at his place ?

Why are most if not all of my eggs porous?? The girls have plenty of calcium and do eat it. The shells seem strong enough but put them to the strong flash light and they are porous! They aren’t fertile so I’m not incubating but I’m curious.

''Twas a good weekend
