Surviving Minnesota!

I maybe ought to have knocked on wood after I wrote that...

This pic fails to capture the thickness of the snow, but oh well... it’s kind of pretty I guess. For January. Precip has definitely picked up. (sigh)

Had fried catfish and smoked fish for supper . My friend gifted some catfish . Here we are allowed trotlines . Usually set in flooded timber in the spring . So maybe 50 hooks on a line stretched between trees with a tarp strap on each as a shock absorber . That is how he was fishing .
I wanna fish like that!

And so I'm back, been a busy few days. Welcome new comers :frow. Drama from the legion that's a long story so here are the cliff notes shame one me for not paying my dues at exactly the right time I'm not allowed to volunteer or help people until I pay. Will be calling the state girl and telling her that we have to pay to volunteer. Idiot legion aux barb commands me around like a dog I have walked out on her twice now. My husbands old 4-10 unit shirt is not unacceptable attire its red and very patriotic. The husband will be reffing a high intensity airsoft game. Yay. Kids are .... um kids. Still issues with the district. I got a new job working at a military surplus store. Hubs asked me what I was gonna do with my big bucks. I said i was going to start saving my pennies for chickens. He said i could buy any thing i want just make sure it's not stupid. So now I need to figure out where the stupid ones are so I can get some for him.:ya. I'm still me I'm crocheting a pattern from spincushions called beyond the granny. I'm the 34 yr old girl who sits at the desk in a surplus store crocheting. I tell them it's a skill for the apocalypse. That's the news from down here in wabasha county.
