Surviving Minnesota!

My bear has not been back recently. I am hoping it is the one that recently was involved in three separate pet attacks in Duluth, not far from me as a bear travels. That one was disposed of by the DNR. One dog went to veterinary care and one was killed. Don't know about the third, but as I understand they were all accompanied by the owner when attacked.
Forecast from Thursday on does not look very promising with even the possibility of snow. It seems as though the Dakotan's are in for 6 to 8 inches of white stuff ?

You are correct on that, just saw the storm warning. Not sure about the east side of the state but ours is coming with 40mph winds too

Usually bears hate dogs as in they run away from them. I imagine these poor canines were tied up defenseless in their yard.

The one in the middle might be the other ones. It’s more round, no speckles.

We have had little of our normally beautiful Fall weather. Too wet cloudy and dreary. Now the white stuff is approaching if the weather prognosticators are to be believed.
BC, as relates to the dogs attacked by the bear it seems that all were being walked by the owner ? I do know that the bear hunting success rate was the highest ever recorded in Mn. this year. So it seems we have bumper crops of bears, coyotes and timber wolves ?

What a great fall day, hard to believe it’s over tomorrow.

I have most the stuff done I needed to get done, so I am sitting on the deck relaxing and watching the young chickens. It is so relaxing, I have not had time to do this in a while.

It’s going to be so different if I actually get rid of them.

If anyone wants to take a pair of Doms to Hutch I have a couple that would do ok. It the last few weeks the U shape has come in.

The best of course is still missing his tail feathers.....:lau:lau

But my grandson now has a healthy respect/dislike of chickens..

I have 2 pullets that would do well.

A cockerel that is ok.
