Surviving Minnesota!

Oh you bet it makes a difference. I can totally tell a difference in production if the birds have been socked in with a week of rain versus great sunny days (albeit not super hot).

A couple days ago I only got 2 eggs. Yesterday I got 4. And today I got 6 eggs, which is the most ever from my 10 pullets. So I know that at least 6 of them have started laying eggs. A couple days of non-rain, made a big difference, even though we have not had any sunny days for over a week.

MNChickMom: French Copper or French Wheaten.
My MMM crossbreed whatevers are pretty neat. But I do crave the heritage types. The MMM's were accessible to me at a week moment at L&M. But I think French Copper and Wheaten would be on an order sheet for me next time.

And I've always been a fan of the Black Australorp.

MCM: edited to add that POL was at 23 weeks on the MMM mixture. So they were pretty reddened up at 20-21 weeks. And they are a tidge larger than my standard fowl at that.

Could You define weak moment at L&M, versus an everyday moment at L&M?

Having recently visit the L&M (Togo Branch).... I found all moments in L&M to be weak ones..

:gig

Weak Moments at L&M are:
*The equivelant of poor chicken number cipherin'. (Chicken Math-itis)
*Getting a Carhart something or other when you just need a bag of feed and shavings. *When you see the ball canning display and have to buy the cocktail shaker and other bar related attachments.
* When you buy the 7 lbs of gummy worms and realize that they are the blasted sugar free ones 3 lbs in.

These are the moments.... at L&M. And basically to answer your question I think there is no distinction when you walk through the door... You're in a weakened mode automatically. A magic door makes your pupils dilate and drool come out of your mouth....

Looks pretty small to me..which is more than we have now..

I doubt I will get a fresh shroom until morel season now... with the exception of chaga..

on another note ... the DNR is coming to measure my northern pin oak tree in the front yard..

I took measurements and sent them in to the USA large tree list people .. or champion trees or something like that.

It could be the largest pin oak in the state.. they or second largest...it is that close with no others close to mine and the one in Caledonia...

it’s about 90 ft tall using a Clinometer app.. 66ft average spread and 143 inches circumference at 4.5 ft. It scores 246.5 if I did it right.. the current champ is 249. ( I think they said).. the next one down is 206
